Cops face suit
City cops responding to a noise complaint roughed up a Native woman and hurled racial slurs at her, a lawsuit claims.
Eva Ann Jackson is seeking damages of $155.000 after she was assaulted by three Calgary officers, a statement of claim -- obtained by the Sun -- says.
Court documents say Jackson was accosted after she attempted to close her door on Const. Rob Scott's foot and was arrested. Lori Orstad and Rod McKay, used excessive force while handcuffing Jackson in her own home and removing her.
A statement of defence has yet to be filed.
